Buenas noches Jorge,
En esta pagina hablan de los colores del Porsche 906E, serial 158, que es probablemente el de Armando Capriles , entiendo que fue el dueño anterior, Ed Hugus, quien lo pinto de amarillo y negro;
http://porschebahn.wordpress.com/2012/0 ... sche-906e/Porsche 906-158 is one of only four 906E’s (“E” for einspritz or fuel injection) built by the factory to compete in the 1967 Daytona and Sebring races while the 910 was being developed. Modifications included double headlights, large oil cooler and openings in the much longer nose, the mechanical fuel injection, transistorized ignition and several titanium suspension parts.
The car was damaged at Daytona in 1967 and sold by the factory to Ed Hugus, who had it repaired and painted Yellow with Black stripes. Raced by him at Sebring, it retired (engine) after 8 hours. Hugus then sold the 906E to Armando Capriles of Venezuela who raced the car very successfully in South America throughout 1967, where it came to be known as “El Tigre”. Capriles brought the car back to Sebring in 1968 (DNF) and 1969 (10th overall, 3rd in the 2-liter prototype class). Subsequent owners were Pitty Block of Lima, Peru and Scott Flanders of Florida.
The current owners purchased the car in 1999 and had it restored by Gunnar Racing. Restoration was finished in February 2004.
Saludos,
